A short tribute for Tim Burton's 1989 gothic masterwork "Batman" featuring Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne/Batman, and Jack Nicholson as his nemesis Jack Napier/The Joker. The 1989 version of Batman, kick-started the franchise back into cinematic action through a mass marketing campaign, which went on to become one of the most successful films of all time. The 1989 version spawned a sequel, Batman Returns (1992), with two films directed by Joel Schumacher in 1995 and 1997 and the recent Christopher Nolan films Batman Begins (2005), The Dark Knight (2008) with the anticipated The Dark Knight Rises expected in July of this year. One feature of all the actors to play the role, is that they all have black makeup around their eyes underneath the cowl, which gives the impression of a seamless transit! ion from man to suit. Again this feature was started from the Tim Burton version.
